I’m nearly six months out from a lobectomy for a solitary met, and am feeling nervous at not being aggressive enough with surgical treatment. Both my oncologist and integrative oncologist advise against chemo since it was a solitar met that was stable for nearly two years prior to growing.
I understand their concerns, but wonder if a gentle approach, such as adapt, would be a good fit for me? When I mentioned it to my oncologist he said I don’t qualify because I’m techniquely NED right now. I know he’d be willing to consider it if I brought it up again. Does anyone have experience with it solely to prevent recurrence?
In the event of a lung recurrence is this a protocol you’d use for active cancer as well?
Thank you so much to everyone on this board. I am so grateful for the valuable information and positivity poured out.
