Any change in ability to use Advil?

Postby AKZucco » Tue May 29, 2018 2:59 pm

New Colon Talk poster and still recent survivor of Stage III Colon Cancer.

I'm only about 3 years out from my last chemo and wanted to see if anyone else was experiencing trouble tolerating Advil.

I had been noticing when I had been very active and then a little sore, I would take Advil - I got terrible gas, IBS -- awful and I never linked the two until this past weekend.

When I checked the side effects of Advil/Ibuprofen and I was having almost all of them and never had before:

stomach pain.
heartburn.
nausea.
vomiting.
gas.
constipation.
diarrhea

For a long time, I had what seemed like chemo-induced IBS. I was told not to take NSAIDS because they were known to irritate the digestive system. I now take Tylenol.
