CEA dropped!

Postby Shana » Tue May 29, 2018 2:45 pm

I just got my latest CEA results. Dropped from 78 to 63 in two weeks which is very encouraging. Continuing with the increased Irinotecan dosage and hoping for more significant decreases. I'm still investigating clinical trials and want to be prepared when my situation changes.

Thank you everyone for your support :)
DX - 12/16
MSS - KRAS wild
Well-differentiated adenocarcinoma at splenic flexure
Stage IV CC with liver mets
5FU - Failed twice - 1/17 and 3/17
Irinotecan + Cetuximab: 8/17
Irinotecan and Erbitux ran it's course. CEA rising
Primary tumor invaded tail of pancreas and spleen. Liver mets major concern
Y-90 radioembolization on 9/17/18, liver enzyymes have dropped. 10 Radiation treatments to primary tumor completed too. CT scan Nov to assess overall situation...

Thank you so much everyone for the positive vibes and wishes! I'm actually throwing myself a birthday party this weekend because I was in the hospital a year ago on my birthday with the dreaded blockage and surgery.

This year I definitely get to eat cake :) The CEA drop is truly icing on my cake!

I wish I could do the limbo Soccermom, but I'd definitely land on my butt

Seriously, I can't thank you all enough for the encouragement, prayers and friendship. You all keep me sane, offer great advice and make me smile! Wishing everyone good news as we take this journey together hopefully to NEDville!
