Update from CEA & CT Scan

Postby teresajj1 » Tue May 29, 2018 2:23 pm

Well I last posted my CEA jumped from 1.9 to 447 in 8 months! I got a CT scan and it shows 3 masses in my abdomen and pelvic area. One mass is 17.8 x 20.4 x 13.4. That seems extremely large to me. Go see oncologist tomorrow. Report says could be colon adenocarcinoma or Ovarian Carcinoma. I appreciate anyone who has experienced anything similar to please share. Going out of my mind!

Hi ,
It is a big shock hearing that more treatment is needed when you have already endured so much .
I take it that it’s measured in mm ? Possibly the size of a long grape. My mum had one met the size of a small orange , between chemo and surgery they made a good job of reigning it back in .
Now you know what you are dealing with you can get focused on managing what has presented and seeking out the top people to get onto the job .
All the very best with your meeting and we are here to help support you through this.
Take care,
Stu
supporter to my mum who lives a great life despite a difficult diagnosis
stage4 2009 significant spread to liver
2010 colon /liver resection
chemo following recurrence
73% of liver removed
enjoying life treatment free
2016 lung resection
Oct 2017 nice clear scan . Two lung nodules disappeared
Oct 2018. Another clear scan .

Thanks for the support Stu. I am terrified, however I actually feel better knowing what's going on in there opposed to not knowing.
