Homeopathic Remedies for Fragmented Stools

Postby gmc1345 » Fri May 18, 2018 8:07 pm

Hi,
I see there are a number of posts about fragmented stools post operation. But I want to know if there is anyone who experiences this just due to IBS and, if there has ever been a cured case only by homeopathy.
I have to go 4 times per one meal and sometimes I am super bloated and gain up to 3 kilos overnight due to excess mucus I think. Now, the issue is I do not have that much urge for going, and when I do it's only when I am on my own. So, say if this was my 3rd time for the day and i happened to be out or had somebody visiting ...hmm...the bloat and nausea is going to carry over to the next day in which god knows how many times I should go.

Short answer, no, nothing has ever been cured only by homeopathy. Placebo effect, maybe, but homeopathy, no.

I have been here since 2008 and nobody has ever been cured by homeopathy.

Carefully charting my diet and how individual foods help or hurt my bowel problems has been very helpful; along with use of OTC medicines, such as Imodium and Benadryl.
I'm dubious about homeopathic remedies - the evidence for their effectiveness seems lacking.

What has helped me is pelvic physical therapy. My pelvic physical therapist taught me a massage technique that helps gather the stool for one large movement at a time of my choosing, as well as various exercises to help me gain control of my bowels. I highly recommend pelvic physical therapy for anyone who has issues with bowel movements.

This is brilliant, I have done some pelvic floor therapy and it does help in general, for releasing gas and occasional relief but I am wondering what can help with gathering stool for one large movement. It is not so much that I just have to go often, but also I cannot do it when I'm around people. If I knew such technique it could reduce the anxiety of social events at least...
Is there any references I could use? Because my specialist doesn't really seem to know this specific technic,

Thank you!

So, one of the issues is that, the most "calming foods" I have charted can just be as much a trigger as say, chips (which is a trigger food) and vice versa on a bad day or, throughout any day - there is no such regulation I can really follow. Things seem to dissipate even when I am in the best mood, with the best food and the best amount of physical activity etc. that seems to be working on a good day.
TBH, if I could just stop eating I would. But I have enough anemia and Vitamin D deficiency that tells me not only I am not absorbing what I should, it is not a good idea to eat less than what I do....

Also, I do not just go often, I cannot go when I am around people so, my IBS doesn't really get categorized as diarrhea I think, I have a tendency for taking laxatives as I am always seeking relief.

So IDK. Thanks for the insight

Also, the real question is, will I ever be normal? I mean, do I have to rely on massage, medicine, remedies etc. for ever? Will I have to fear doing everything all the time because I know I am going to begin feeling like a sack of stool the every-next-moment after every activity, food, mood etc?

I have days where I don't do the massage because my bowel movements are large volume and I empty completely. It just takes time to get your system up to your new normal. I don't take anything to help me with my bowel movements. I have fiber and imodium on hand, but I only use those if I try a new food and it doesn't do well with my system. I've gotten to the point that I can eat salads without having to run to the bathroom.

If you search for "clustering" on the forum, you'll find several posts about how people dealt with it.

Apparently, I am too new to send private messages here. But thank you very much. Thank you for the video. I've watched a few massage videos since yesterday this one was different. So I'll try it once I'm lying down.
I don't know if I can send you email address via youtube, doesn't look like it.
Thanks again,

Thanks for sharing this video. I came across this forum searching for some help post reversal after struggling to find help from the nurses and physios. I'll definitely be trying this to see if it will help. We also seem to have had a similar path with staging, treatment etc.

Cheers!
