On the morning show on television here, a couple of weeks ago, there was a segment about the Paleo diet with Pete Evans and they talked about a documentary called The Magic Pill. I have been looking into doing Paleo only because I have put on weight and I feel that I am eating too many carbs. Anyway, the documentary was very interesting regarding weight loss and general health.
I never thought that sugar/carbs had anything at all to do with cancer. I had joined a local FB Paleo page and there was a post on there critisizing a bakery for selling pink buns to raise money for breast cancer. The person went on to say these foods cause cancer blah blah blah. Totally outrageous I thought, how dare they critisize this bakery as buns will not cause cancer. There was this big debate going on. Then someone posted this article (in my post at the top). Hmmm maybe there is some connection with a high sugar diet. Apparently, there are lots of evidence and studies regarding this according to the person critisizing the bakery.
I am not saying one way or the other but just wanted to share. People can make up their own minds about their diet. I was only interested in the Paleo diet for weight loss.
