28 years old, blood in stool

Postby Mercy110 » Thu Apr 19, 2018 2:22 am

My sister has always been anxious since my mum confirmed rectal cancer. She used to have blood in stool periodically 2 years ago, but it just happened a few times, especially after she has eaten unhealthy snacks such as potato chips and deep fired food. When we found out our mum has rectal cancer and it is properly inheritable, she is soooo worried about herself, but we have not undergo any genetic tests and our mum is not having early onset so we dont think it is Lynch.

She is now 28 years old and has undergone colonoscopy half-year ago. The result is clear, with mild sign of acne. CEA is within normal range.

This week, she finds blood in stool again and the amount of blood is much more then before. Blood is on tissue as well. She is extremely worry about herself, and will get a brief check tomorrow. She has eaten potato chips the night before, dont know if it is related.

Anyone with similar experience? Is it most likely for her acne to develop so the amount of blood increased? Any thoughts are appreciated. Thanks!

Acne in a colon?
Could you please check spelling.
58 yo male at diagnosis: T1bN0M0, 0/15 nodes, low grade/moderately differentiated adenocarcinoma
03/2016 colonoscopy: 2 small polyps removed in left colon; CEA = 1.3
04/2016 colonoscopy: caecum sessile 3.5 cm polyp piecemeal removed with kind of clear margins
05/2016 "prophylactic" laparoscopic right hemicolectomy - bleeding, leak, infection
06/2017 CT scan, colonoscopy OK; CEA = 1.6
A lot of funny stuff discovered by CT scans in liver, kidney, lungs, arteries, gallbladder, lymph node, pancreas
