The right-side colon includes the appendix, cecum, ascending colon, hepatic flexure, and transverse colon. I had my tumor in the cecum. You will have to wait for more specifics before you know what to expect. However, it is not worse than transverse. If it is cancer, your husband will need a right sided resection, which hopefully can be done laparoscopic. I was only in the hospital for 2 days and recovered quite well. The stage will depend on what will come next. In addition, if the dr says it is cancer, he will have a CT scan, and bloodwork. There are many on this forum that can help you through this journey.
Good luck and keep us informed.
