Hard distended stomach post bowel resection

Hey all, this is my first post and am glad I found Colon Talk


Has any one experienced a hard distended stomach that lasts many months after surgery ? I had this before my resection and thought it would be fixed after surgery that took down my stoma. Some people have said their stomachs reminded them of "butt cheeks." I am wondering if any one has had this happen and if there is any info on what can be done to fix it Any info on this subject would be wonderful and a great benefit to me

Hi! Did you have open surgery? I had it with a longitudinal cut, so the scar is dividing a bit the stomach in two. But it is not hard and distended, is mostly the skin that makes it.
