Hi all,
My father has just been dx'ed Stage IV colon cancer (details on signature).
We are looking into 1st line treatments, but doctors have diverging opinions:
one says "take FOLFOX, as FOLFIRI gives you increased toxicity due to anatomical alteration of intestinal tract" (I wonder: could this in any way affect the blocked perforation??)
the other says "take FOLFIRI, as FOLFOX can give you permanent neuropathy fuelled by pre-diabetes" (Is this a real thing? - he doesn't even have any pre-diabetes induced neuropathy now)
If the blocked perforation opens, he has to have emergency surgery and risks sepsis.
Anyone has some info to share on this?
Thank you in advance,
