CT/ MRI Cancelled!

My CEA dropped over 50%, well into the normal range, and my cholesterol all dropped, too. My TSH had shown hypothyroidism and my scans 5 months ago were all clear. I've been on thyroid meds since the test in November and studies have shown that hypothyroidism is a well known cause of elevated CEA's. (Under 10)

Since all my blood work was so good, I didn't have to have the CT/ MRI. I am now 9 years 3 months post my original Stage III dx and 6 years post my hepatic resection for a 1.5 cm met which made me Stage IV.

Praising the LORD for this good news!
Praying for all of you!
Diane

WOOHOO! Just got a call from my ONC office about yesterday's PET Scan. My nurse advised it showed significant improvement. No particulars as I have an appointment with ONC Monday, but it's the first time one is better than the last! Hopefully the first step of many in the right direction.

I just finished all the tests for the one year mark, colonoscopy/blood/ct scan and all were clear! I didn’t have scanxiety for this first year, but that was probably due to the fact that I was getting labs every 3 months and scans every 6. Now my onc said I’ll just do labs and scans every six months. That might make me a little more nervous lol, but hey, I’ve been NED for a year! Time to celebrate!

Just received my latest scan results. After 9 months of "bad" scans, I finally have a good one. All lung nodules have decreased by about 30% and there's no evidence of any new metastases! I'm thrilled but also overwhelmed by hope.
