Bag changed. I made healthy folate free muffins and yogurt and fresh fruit for breakfast as I wont be enjoying them for a while. Leftover.dinner ready for tonight in frig, first xeloda on board with lump on chest as proof. Friend coming at 10 to take me. Going to park with pup for a romp and ball toss to work off some steam. It is supposed to cool ofc to 80s this weekend so wont have the heat verse AC to contend with as well.
Tongue is numb, anyone else feel anything like that?

Slept so solidly last night didn't wake up when my bag started to balloon, it bursts off the flange and a little mess. My husband is so great he remembered to get me slippers to run around and get things like a new bag and get it reattached while he stripped the bed and took care of all the stuff for me.
If it's not one thing it's another. A new day more Adventures. Did manage to get in 7,000 steps just by spending 5 hours in a chair. Going to see if I can get to 10,000 today maybe that'll flush this stuff out of my body quicker.
Happy Friday.

“If it’s not one thing, it’s another” was my mantra during treatment. I would recover from my infusion, and then my bag would blow out. Etc, etc.

Great job on all the steps!

Thanks for letting me know I am not alone with the bag blow out. Slept so heavy from drugs I am sure. My husband said I was talking craziness in my sleep too.

Well that sucks but so glad that you have an understanding and helpful husband :) At least you got some good rest.

Just curious, does walking help the body flush chemo out faster? I know they tell me to drink water and stay hydrated but I thought we wanted to keep it in our system to do it's job... honestly I don't know enough about how chemo works to know how much time is required to get the total benefit before it leaves our body.

Yes, it sucks. The drugs have worn of and awful set in. Sleeping is the best option today,
I think anything to get rid of the stuff is worth a try.

I think I can't do one more but know I have too. Giving myself and my family every chance for a long life together. Having lost a brother at 30 to colon cancer, I can't let it happen again.

I am so happy for you. Please let me know how you are feeling, are the abdominal pains gone?

Abdominal pains, acid etc. is tailing down. Up and down. Feet are an issue - think may take a couple months to square away - quite painful off and on. Frustrating to be so weak, not have energy. Got in the pool for the first time this year and then just baked in the sun on the hot concrete. Felt great. Takes time. Susan - looks like you have gone to six cycles instead of five?

We postponed cycle four, got to enjoy vacation with our daughter in NYC. It wasn't the plan but a miscommunication with doctor, rather than decrease dose as we discussed, he nacelles it and there wasn't an open slot. I so hate what this does to us all but it beats the alternative. I went to yoga today, being head down made nausea worse but I did the whole class. Yeah me.

Just finishing round five, last one. Symptoms come on so quickly now. This time already experiencing nausea and fatigue. Skin down there bleeds when I blot after peeing. Everything is so fragile.
Good news though, we ordered aTesla 3 four years ago when released, wepick up tomorrow. Something to look forward to, new car smell, long gasfree drives with husband as we explore Tesla network
