Coming up 7 years where has time gone

Postby Jimswife » Sun Mar 18, 2018 6:11 pm

Oct 2011 ..... my husband was diagnosed stage 3 colon cancer , I used to scour every online forum looking for stories of hope , I just thought when someone had cancer that was the beginning of the end .... I'm happy to report he's been cancer free ever since as far as we know according to scans ( they stopped after 5 yrs ) and regular cea testing ..... so really I just want to give back one of those stories of hope I desperately looked for almost 7 years ago , is he cured ? Who knows .... we would like to think so , I hope this helps who ever is reading in the same situation now , i know not every person and situation is the same but it can be beaten .
Victoria , Wife to Jim age 43 dx oct 2011
Stage 3 cc with 2 out of 21 positive lymph nodes
Folfox starts nov 11-may 12
All scans and bloods since surgery confirm no evidence of disease
Hoping to stay ned forever .... Fingers crossed !!!!!!!
