Advice For Next Steps

Postby Bschreibs » Fri Mar 09, 2018 9:42 am

Looking for opinions on next steps. In December I was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer w Mets to my liver. I’m mss and kras mutant. I have completed six rounds of Folfiri and Avastan and had his first scan and everything has shrunk. However there are two lymph nodes that have shrunk as well which indicates that they are cancerous. My oncologist wants to keep going with the current mix of Folfiri and Avastan. Any input or thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

So sorry to hear your news, but it seems that your chemo is doing the right job.
I guess it would be best to keep going with the chemo plan and hope everything will keep on shrinking and you can try surgery eventually. Until then just stay with chemo. You can change the drugs if you have serious side effects, but you did not mention any of them so I guess it is tolerable.
Add oil and God bless.

try to hang in there with advice from a real doctor. this is a bad spot but your results seem to indicate the current treatment is having a positive effect.
