I have Ativan left over from all the anti nausea drugs I got last year. I never liked taking it at home but I did ask for it in the hospital because it helped me sleep. Sometimes I'd just like to have a couple of margaritas and get silly but I've avoided alcohol except for a few sips of champagne at my daughter's wedding :) What have you heard about occasional very moderate alcoholic drinking?

I drank liberally through treatment and had a complete response to six rounds of folfox. Probably not a good idea to go crazy but it wasn’t an issue for me.

Basil,

I would have drank more beforehand if I had any idea what I was going to experience last year! I had two bouts of severe colitis, couldn't even drink water and was on IV nutrition for about 6 weeks, then ended up with colitis induced blockage and a colostomy as my souveneir.

I think maybe it's finally time to indulge a bit, might help with that anxiety too :)

Cheers!

Shana

Thank you! Last scan showed more shrinkage but it's slow going. CEA slightly up but holding steady according to oncologist, she said not to stress over a small change. Next scan in June, I should have used "Livin' Scan to Scan" as my user name!

Hugs back attacha!
