Liver Surgery

Postby Joecool1983 » Tue Feb 27, 2018 10:11 pm

So, after getting the results of a CT scan 3 weeks ago and a PET scan last week, my new Surgeon has scheduled me for Liver Surgery next Thursday, March 8th. I have had 3 Tumors on my Liver since last January. There's been significant growth. The Surgeon is going to remove the whole right lobe of the Liver. There were also 2 new smaller tumors discovered, on the left lobe of the Liver, on the CT scan 3 weeks ago. The Surgeon is positive he can ablate the 2 smaller tumors on the left lobe. I did get a bit of good news from the PET scan last week. The presacral abscess/infection that they have been treating/draining, since December, is about half the size it was. It's clearing up quite nicely.

I had similar surgery two times. It really went by very quickly, good luck to you!!! The only "problem" I had was getting up from my bed at home with the wound, it wasn't bad at all and I hardly remember it now :)
