Husband goes to Mass General Hospital next week for his first scan (CT) since his liver surgery which was 2/28/18. I can't believe that was less than three months ago. It feels like ages. So much has happened in our lives over the past year or so that time is now becoming a blur.
Fingers crossed next week goes well. I don't think I can handle bad news at this time in my life.

jep -- the oncologist originally thought he would need 2 months chemo - liver surgery - then 4 months "mop up" chemo. But, that was when we thought that the spot on segement 5 could be cancerous and we also did not know how well he would respond to those 2 initial months of CAPEOX. Now, post-surgery, his oncologist does not recommend any more chemo.
They consider him "cured" for now. NED.
It's funny because I originally was sooooo anti-chemo and now I am left wondering -- are we sure this is the route to take???? My husband is following his doctor's recommendation and I'm counting my blessings, which these days are few and far between.
