Colonoscopy tomorrow

Postby thubler » Mon Feb 12, 2018 6:25 pm

Well I delayed the inevitable long enough. Tomorrow I go in for my colonoscopy and endoscopy. I was due in December but my onco suggested I wait until after the holidays and since it had only been a year from my last scope, I wasn’t complaining. I had to wait until December because I always request the same gastro doc and he wasn’t available until now. So here I sit, in the living room for now, 4 dulcolax down as well as half of the first gatorade magic potion. While I was mixing it, my 5 yo little girl asked what it was. I just honestly said “honey it makes Dad poop”. She may never drink gatorade again....

Im starving and decided to run before I started prepping. This caused me to get “the look” from the Mrs. My kids love a meal my wife and I have coined “Hobo spaghetti” which is just noodles and sauce with no meat. I absolutely hate this meal so they had it tonight to help out.

I check the forum everyday, usually multiple times, and think of you all often. I pray everyone is doing well.

Good luck tomorrow. I would totally be down for some of that hobo spaghetti!
I'm just a dude who still can't believe he had a resection and went through chemo (currently 13 years NED). Is this real life?

Good luck on your colonoscopy today.

Be sure to ask for a complete written report of the procedure. You need to have it for future reference.

If there are any biopsies done, ask if they can test the specimen for MSi-status.

Thanks everyone. Everything went well. Doc found one “possible” polyp and removed it so very happy with the results. I can take 12 hours of inconvenience a year for that news! God is good!
