O/T Need prayers for friend going under the knife.

Postby Lee » Sun Jan 21, 2018 4:03 pm

I'm putting this out there, one of my walking partner DH is going under the knife tomorrow morning. It is cancer. I'm not totally sure what type of cancer, he had a PET scan last week, guess he will get results tomorrow before going under. To say that he scared is putting it mildly.

Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers for a successful surgery tomorrow morning. His name is Tom.

I believe in the power of prayers, would appreciate if the good people on this forum can keep him your thoughts and prayers.

Thank you, will keep you updated as I get more info.

Just got an update from my friend. The tumor is in Tom's neck. Unfortunately they could not remove it. Too messy and dangerous. He will need radiation first. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers.

I'm a praying person who prays the rosary everyday. I will keep him in my rosary today. This being in his neck, sounds like some sort of lymphoma? My sister had Hodgkins disease. If it is, it's usually treatable and curable. We'll pray for that!

Thank you Deb

He has squamous cell carcinoma of the neck. The PET scan showed no other lesions so that is good. They will keep him overnight, he will be coming home tomorrow.
