"After doing some research on angels, she was comforted to find out, as she put it, 'what they were not.'
She didn’t elaborate in her letter, but she apparently abandoned her notion that
these spiritual beings were feathery spies." ~ Flannery O'Connor

A woman places an ad in her local newspaper looking for a lover.

The ad reads: "Looking for a man with 3 qualities: won’t beat me up, won’t run away from me, and is great in bed."

A few days later her doorbell rings.

The man says, "Hi, I’m Dave. I have no arms so I won’t beat you, and no feet so I won’t run away."

"What makes you think you're great in bed?" the woman retorts.

Dave replies, "I rang the doorbell, didn’t I?"

An African lumberjack is interviewing for a job at a major logging company.

The foreman decides to take a practical route and hands the lumberjack an axe.

"Take a couple swings at that tree over there." The foreman said.

The lumberjack walks over to the tree and fells it in a single chop.

"Holy smokes, you've got quite the arm! You're absolutely hired, but I need to know what you can do. Try your hand at this tree over here." The foreman points out a much larger tree.

One, two swings and the tree crashes to the ground.

"That's incredible!" Cried the foreman. "Wherever did you learn to chop like that?!"

"In the Sahara Forest." Replied the lumberjack.

"Don't you mean the Sahara Desert?" Asked the foreman.

"That's why I'm here."

hehehe...You reminded me of a song:

SONG LYRICS - SIDE BY SIDE

We got married last Friday
My girl was right there beside me
Our friends were all gone
We were alone
Side by side

We were so happily wed when
She got ready for bed then
Her teeth and her hair
She placed in a chair
Side by side

One glass eye so tiny
One hearing aid so small
Then she took one leg off
And placed it on the chair by the wall

I stood there broken hearted
Most of my girl had departed
I slept on the chair
There was more of her there
Side by side

So frustrating. Can't get the volume to work on that song, BS. Read the comments, and it is pretty unanimously declared to be hilarious. May have to get the big brain (DD in this case) of the house to check out my computer. :(

Well, I'm in the emergency room. Today was Not. A. Good. Day!!

I decided to try horseback riding which is something I haven't done for years. Last time was when I went to the High Country Mountain Festival in Mansfield back...um...
late last century....I digress. Anyway, not as young as I used to be and Bright Idea turned out to be a big bloody mistake!

So I got on the horse and started out slowly, but then we went a little faster; before I knew it, we were going as fast as the horse could go. Then this
bloody horse makes a sudden jerk and rears up, and I was about to go arse-over-turkey, except my foot got caught in the stirrup. The horse kept bucking
and running, and was dragging me and wouldn't stop and I'm thinking that I haven't done the dishes and there's some things in my bedside drawer that I don't want
aunty Flo and uncle Andy to find (if you catch my drift)....in a nutshell, my life is flashing before my eyes...

Thank goodness the manager of the grocery store came out and unplugged the machine. But then he had the nerve to take the rest of my gold coins,
so I wouldn't attempt to drive the Batmobile, AND he told me to stay away from the handicap carts. Jerk.

Spring in Australia! It's all fun and game until you drop your mobile and a wedge-tail eagle carries it away instead
of taking out the magpie that's been swooping you for the last 10 clicks......
