I really thought that Annie would grow to be an old lady and see her Bean get married and have grandchildren. It's so sad that that was not to be. But Annie left a legacy of love that I hope will sustain her family and friends. Best wishes to her sweet daughter.

Thank you everyone, for all your thoughts.

A few quotes and words…

I feel the same. I was worried during surgery and while she was in recovery, but thought she was past the danger. When I found out, at first I thought I was mistaken.

Lee wrote: I will miss her. I really thought she made it through the worst. I will be thinking of her on the 21st. I feel so sorry for her kids (I believe she had 2). I hope they grow up and know what a wonderful person she was.

Lee, she had one daughter that was hers, and one that was her husband’s from a prior marriage. I’m sure both of them are feeling the impact, but agree with you in the hope that they grow up knowing how special she was.

yiayia wrote:Her life changed mine.

I know that would mean the world to her. That’s what it was all about for her. She changed my life too.

Shana wrote:I'm so terribly sorry for the loss of your friend Anne. She was a good friend to so many people on here. She had a wicked sense of humor and such amazing spirit.

Thanks Shana. She did have an awesome sense of humor. :) I’m so glad I got to have her as a friend.

mypinkheaven wrote:Annie left a legacy of love that I hope will sustain her family and friends.

Indeed she did. And even though she won’t get to be there when Bean gets married or has children of her own, I just know that the legacy you speak of is true and will mean that someday Annie will get to be reunited with her and meet any beautiful new beans.

mariane wrote:We all here loved her, cheered for her.

We sure did. And she knew it, too. She told me that all the time. ::hugs::

Well said, Julie. Well said. We will stand strong. We’ll fight. We’ll make Annie proud.

I know that she truly cared about all of you, and she would be so honored to know what an impact she made on so many lives.
Love, Hugs and Blessings to all of you.

Im so really sorry :(

I was acompannying her journey and was so happy for her results with Keytruda and for Larry's eviction surgery.

I really though she was out of the woods.
I'm really sad for her family, to experience such a loss, when things where finally getting better...

I really don't understand life sometimes.

Sending my best regards and condolences to her friends and family... :(

I feel like I know her, but can't see it. I just remember her posting something about naming her tumor Larry. She was close to my age with children. I can't even imagine. Someone suggested to "Don't ask, but do" when things like this happen. Something to think about. RIP sweet angel Cancer sure sucks. :(

Thanks again everyone - I wanted to post a quick update as today were the services for our Beansmama. I found out a few days ago that they were actually having them fairly close to where I live (couple hours drive), and while I didn't want to infringe on the family I felt really strongly that I wanted to at least show up and let them know how much she was loved by all of us here on ColonTalk.

I was able to share this with her family, and also with the bean herself. I let her know that there were lots and lots of people all over the world that she'd never met, but who loved her mom very much and would be praying for her. I told her that if she ever needed *anything* to let me know and I would spread the word to all of you.

I'm happy to say that she was surrounded by lots of family (Anne's apparently from a fairly large family), mostly lots of aunts and cousins. In the time I got to speak with her she said that she knew there were lots of people thinking about her - probably more than she even knew (she's right there, I think).

So while today was rightfully sad, it was also comforting to know that the bean was well looked after. I gave them hugs from all of us. Anne's sister Heather is trying to start some kind of local awareness group about Lynch syndrome in her area. I told her to keep me in the loop, as there were lots of folks here who are knowledgeable and could probably provide her with guidance or information. I have a feeling that our BeansMama will have a long legacy to follow.

With hugs and prayers,
Tracy

Tracy, I believe it is very powerful that you have been able to connect IRL with Anne's family.

Yes, she had many friends here and we would and will do anything, to support and raise awareness so her "bean" will never have to go through any of this herself. Let Heather know if we can help in any way to get her online here and connected... we will !

Thank you Tracy for that beautiful update. I was so happy to read that you were able to meet Bean. Something tells me you probably made a major impact in her life going forward know who her mother was. That is precious.

Yes, if there is anything we can do for Bean or her family, please let us know.
