Yes, it was a bumpy ride, but I really thought she'd gotten through the worst. I know that she knew the surgery and recovery would be risky, but like you said, she held nothing back. She'd do anything to overcome. She was a warrior through-and-through, and like you said, her leaving is a loss to the community here. I rest in the fact that she had a strong faith and that she is in God's arms. Even just the surgery was a huge thing for the doctors and hospital there in terms of future treatment for liver tumors near the artery, and of course for Lynch Syndrome testing and treatment. She left a legacy that will go well beyond her. I hope, somewhere, she knows that and feels all the love we have for her.
