There is no replacing a loved Furbaby. What we can do is open our hearts to a new one and give them the love that would have been bestowed on our lost ones.

I'm glad you have found another to love and that will surely love you back.

:)

Karen,

Again I am so sorry about your Miss Molly. Believe me, many of us have walked in your shoes, I have a 17 yr old cat, and 12 1/2 yr old dog. They are both senior citizen.
And I worry about them both.

Congratulations on Abby, she sounds adorable,

Lee

Molly would want me to “keep my tail up.” I have made inquiry with a recommended maltese breeder in Seattle, Wash. I have selected a toy-sized female malti-poo (maltese-poodle cross) puppy. She is 7 weeks old today and weighs in at 2.5 pounds. Apricot and white in color. Her name is Abby.

It has never occurred to me to label anyone as a "periphery" member, Karen. Certainly Belle would have never considered it either when you made your promise to come on here & help folks out in her memory...And you do that quite well.
You make me smile w/your little puppy comments. :) I look forward to seeing pics of your new little girl, Abby, & also think a little bit of poodle should make for a good mix. Let us know when she arrives. Chloe was 12 weeks when I got her.

So many of us have acknowledged through our Off Topic threads, the love we have for our pets as family members & my heart goes out to you for your loss of Miss Molly still. When Chloe gives me a scare, it shakes me to the very core. As you well know, I wasn't quiet about it.

Best Wishes
Ethel
