Is this blood on my stool?

Postby R9652 » Thu Jan 04, 2018 5:25 pm

Hi,

My name is Robin, 24 years old and have had some stomach aches in the past 1,5 week.

I don't feel hungry at all, some discomfort and pain in the stomach area and feel like throwing up from time to time. My bowel does not feel empty at all. I have also had some changes of my stool in the past months.

Yesterday and today i had to go to and saw what i thought was blood on my stool.

Can anyone confirm?

Kind of scared to go to the doctor.

Thanks for reading.

NO,
nobody here can confirm a medical diagnosis for you.
You need to check this out with a doctor in real life, to see what is going on.

Best wishes

Ditto to what CRGuy said. I'm speculating some type of red food. Tomato's, red peppers, etc.

But what CTGuy said, if you are concerned, see your PCP!

Flu season is in full swing, something to consider.

Does colon/rectal cancer run in your family?

No, colon/rectal cancer does not run in the family but other ones do eg, stomach cancer, my aunt had throat cancer and other illnesses do run in the family.

I was also thinking red food, almost eat red peppers every day.

Willl make an appointment with my doctor on Monday to check.

Thanks for the advice.

Always safe to go to Dr. Always. I had to fight my way to get a colonoscopy at age 38 yr. old. Finally, after a 2nd opinion, I was granted one. I argued hard, but worth it. They found one benign polyp. My mom was diagnosed 8 months ago. At the moment she has no more cancer! Prayers.

If you eat red peppers everyday it's highly likely that's the problem...You could stop eating red things for a few days and see if red still shows up.

If this could bring some laughter, but kinda silly. I had orange jello before my colonoscopy :D and I could see orange jello in my colon on the scans
