Hi Guys! I really haven't posted very much since being a member, but have valued the insight and compassion of the members on the forum. I find myself ending 2017 being somewhat discouraged, but trying to regain my fighting spirit. As you can tell from my signature, I had my 12th round of Folfox on Dec. 13, CT scan on Dec. 22nd, and a call from my onc on Dec. 27th. He said unfortunately the Folfox had totally failed as I now have a 4cm liver lesion and 2 lung nodules. He didn't pass along any other info as I have my follow up on Jan 4th. I have already scheduled a second opinion for Jan 22nd at a larger cancer center. Just curious what treatment options were given to others in this situation.
My wife is trying to stay strong in front of me, but I can hear her crying to herself sometimes. She's already disabled and I worry a lot about her if something happens to me. I've already planned a visit back to the Midwest (talk about the worst weather time to go) in between appointments to visit family and friends as I wanted to get a trip in before any treatment starts. I guess I just needed to vent some and seek any advice out there.
