Sad news about one of our 2017 Featured Survivors

The Colon Club Facebook has posted this sad notification of the passing of Chris Roberts.
2017 Featured Survivor.

Chris' story is part of the "On the Rise" 2017 Featured Survivors series.

12/14-folfiri -13 rds kept me stable from 3/15-6/15
8/15-HIPEC, NED
09/15- cea 0.9
05/16- recurrence in abdo wall and lymph nodes
01/17- pulmonary embolism
02/17- 1 wk radiation to abdo wall
08/16- on folfiri
01/18-folfox
11/18- Beacon trial-encorafenib & cetuximab

Oh such sad news :(
I can’t understand why many young people get this diagnose... I remember reading this article and seeing this ’strong’ young man. He looked like he was a winner,

That's an incredibly sad story. He looks big, strong and healthy in that picture and was quite accomplished at a young age.

I don't think that I ran into him on this board but it is tough when this happens.

My condolences to his parents, his girl friend, and all his friends. So very young.

This was a few years back, butt over the next two decades, colon cancer is expected to double for people under the age of 50. They expect to see an increase in people getting this cancer in their 20's, 30's, and 40's

I'm sorry I did not keep the article. Maybe it was on this forum that I read it.

Again my condolences to his family and friends. He was way to young.

CT Scan moved up due to high CEA 08/21/17
NED 09/25/17
NED 12/21/18
Clear colonoscopy 09/23/19
Clear 5 year scans 11/21/19- Considered cured! :)
