Sorry you're here at a young age but you'll find lots of people that "get it" here. Keep up the positive attitude!
I'm just a dude who still can't believe he had a resection and went through chemo (currently 13 years NED). Is this real life?

While I was not a stage IV, my Onc talked about the possibility of that happening since I was a IIIC. That was almost 14 years ago when I was 46 years old. I am very much alive and kicking today. Sometimes being on the younger side helps. My Onc threw the kitchen sink at me because of my youth and over all good health.

Know in your heart, you will beat this,

rectal cancer - April 2004
46 yrs old at diagnoses
stage III C - 6/13 lymph positive
radiation - 6 weeks
surgery - August 2004/hernia repair 2014
permanent colostomy
chemo - FOLFOX
NED - 16 years and counting!
