Depends whats the Chemo Tablet? That could be anything. Generally speaking MSI Low typed solid tumors haven't responded well to Keytruda. People with MSI-High typically do respond when in combination with FOLFOX or other chemo treatments. There are some studies taking place using Keytruda with other chemo drugs however that it is hoped will turn cold (MSI-Low) tumors to hot (MSI-High) type character, and make them respond better to attack by the immune system.

So if your wife is in a trial with a new combination of Keytruda with some other chemo drug, it would be of interest knowing what that chemo tablet actually is. There are a lot of new combinations being tried right now out there though few seem to be offered to folks with MSI-LOW form of colon cancer. Let us know a little bit more if you can about what exactly the drugs in use are, and someone might be better able to respond to you if they are undergoing the same or similar treatment. I believe there are a couple members that are trying Keytruda but with MSI-High tumors.

Best wishes.
My oncologist monitored it after 3 months ( 6 cycles ) .
I think it takes 3 weeks to 13 weeks for immunotherapy to start showing results.

Our dear friend Beansmama (whose posts you can find here if you search on her name) was stage 4. I can't tell you for sure what her mutation was, but she was Lynch positive and stage 4. They started her on Keytruda in 1/2017 after none of her other treatments worked. Over the next several months her CEA continued to go down and her tumors to shrink. She was doing this in prep for a risky surgery, but the treatments were doing so well they wanted to keep them going. By October of 2017 the doctors were incredibly pleased with her progress. She had surgery in November 2017 to remove the tumor, which was found to be completely dead.

I'll say this so that you aren't caught off guard if you go searching. Beansmama recently passed away, but it was from complications with blood clots and nothing to do with the cancer. She was NED after surgery. So the Keytruda was very positive in her story.

Hope this helps.
