welcome....I am going to weigh in here.....
Stage 2A and also had a right hemicolectomy. I had two high risk factors, LVI and poorly differentiated. My oncologist is from MD Anderson. He did not order an OncoX test because he said that it is good for breast cancer, but not a good predictor for colon cancer. Being from a major cancer center, he looked at the risk factors and suggested that I take Xeloda for 8 cycles. It was up to me, but I wanted to be proactive, so I agreed. I do not regret my decision.
As far as the wait, you might want to find out when the company received your specimens. Usually it takes no longer than 10 days. However, if they had to wait for insurance clearance, it might have taken time. They than have to send your specimens to OncoX. All of these factors might have pushed your testing back. If it was me, I would ask when your slides were sent...you might get your answer. I had my surgery on 11/4 and did not get my pathology report back until 11/21.
