I can't seem to ever get more than 1 day out of my appliance without itching and burning.
How long do you get?

My wife has been home from surgery for almost a week now. The majority of the pain that she has experienced has been from the ileostomy is that normal? I will say helping her change it for the first time over the weekend was scary. It hurt her a lot pulling the old one off of that tender just operated on skin.

eakin 839002 and i'm into my 4th day without a change
I was using hollister 8805
but I also cut the opening in the plate a little closer to size
so 1 or the other or a combination of both could be the answer.
I use a hollister 11402 and 18002 I use cavilon for barrier but I have always been confused
about 3m's pricing I'm in Canada so naturally everything is more expensive but I buy
cavilon barrier wipes 3344 at 34.99 per box of 30 and they have cavilon 3344E
at 53.99 per box of 30 I see no difference between them.

I use the Eakin rings as well, I think they work great. I also use the Cavilon barrier wipes. I looked up both numbers you provided and I agree, they look like the same thing. Keep doing what you are doing, it sounds like you are getting better with your set up.

You guys are experts at this. The only thing I have is the stuff that the WOC at Brigham and Women's showed me. A box of 10 wafers is $20 and a box of 10 bags is similar I think. I think that I'd like to try some one-piece bags for setting up an emergency kit and to see if they would be better for running.
