O/T....need a hospital in Alabama....son needs hernia surgery

Kids are travelling in the US, he got hurt working out. Looks like he will need surgery for a hernia. looking for a hospital near Birmingham Alabama.

Sorry, no info....don't live anywhere near there but....I am not sure I would worry too much about a hospital in Birmingham for hernia surgery.
There are the hospitals affiliated with University of Alabama (assuming that they have a medical school...but not sure) and ones in the St. Vincent group.
Anyone else know of any of these hospitals?

Being from Canada our health care that we are used to is so different. I see that you have a lot of hernia clinics, are these a better idea then a regular hospital? Since that is all they do, would they be more expedienced? Regulated the same? Which would be the better choice?
Sorry, just being a worried mama...so out of habit came to the place that has given me answers so many times over the years...

JMO, butt someone who specialized in hernia repair would be my first choice. Sorry, butt not familiar with the area.
