Recommendations for cold weather gloves?

I live in a pretty cold climate, and with winter coming (actually, the cold is already here), I'm looking for a good pair of gloves. The Oxaliplatin makes me extra sensitive to cold in my fingers and toes - it probably lasts for about two weeks after treatment. Has anyone found a good pair of gloves that keeps the fingertips nice and warm in freezing weather?

It’s 21 degrees right now and I’m heading to the gym in 20 minutes. I have been looking for globes as well but the hard part is that there are so many out there to look at. My current solution is medium weight fleece liners inside Marmot snow gloves which are also lined. It provides protection against snow and water which I don’t need. I also don’t have a good feel for materials as there is a wide variety out there.

I’m thinking of going to Eastern Mountain Sports tomorrow to see what they have. I’ve also considered battery powered gloves but they don’t really seem to work. Microwave heat packs may be a solution too.

I wear a basic pair of knit gloves, which are great for indoors too. I've been wearing them since my first infusion in July, since air conditioning was my enemy. It just turned cold here in NC, so I will probably pull out my normal winter gloves shortly.

I'm always on the lookout for good gloves. I wear them until it hits 50 degrees. I had raynauds before cancer so after oxi it was worse. Also find some warm boots or socks for your feet, I have found mine get cold too now with the neuropathy. I have many gloves and a heated steering wheel. If you find any that really work well let us know.

My sister used to have an alpaca ranch. (long story). She was very generous with alpaca products, socks, scarves, and gloves. I must say the alpaca gloves are very nice and quite warm. Don't know if they would be warm enough for really cold (below 20) weather though. I tend to like natural fibers like wool and cashmere.

I see that you have purchased a fleece lined pair onAmazon. They look very nice.
Good luck,
peanut

I recommend Uniqlo Heattech gloves, socks, and a scarf (to pull up around your mouth and nose). They kept me warm on oxy!

You might try wearing plain cotton gloves (available in the spa/shower/bath section of stores) around the house too. I wore them all day and they reduced my sensitivity to things that would irritate my fingertips.

Hope this helps!
