Our 23 year old son 'vapes' in his bedroom with the door closed. Many times I knock on his door and it's foggy when he opens it. He has an air cleaner that helps. It used to be so thick you could hardly see! I know I have to inhale some of that. I can't find anything about that online and did find an old post here where people were vaping MJ, not nicotine/ juices.

My oncologist says that that's just my body, some people, will always have a higher CEA with no sign of cancer. He will only be concerned if it would go above 10 for my case. One thing that I'm going to look into is Hypothyroidism, it's a cause of elevated CEA, I've never had a test for it, but my Mom's had a hyper active thyroid for a while, could be a genetic thing. I will have my GP test for it soon. Good thing is that with treatment it can be kept in check and causes no issues, people who are treated see their CEA levels drop to normal after treatment. Hopefully everything is fine, and having scans makes sense.

I am a vaper. Sounds like he likes to cloud the room. I vape to not smoke, not for the clouds I 'could' produce. My lungs have never been healthier. I've been vaping for over 5 years.

Nick vapes to prevent smoking, too. He has a humidifier and a room purifier but I wondered if my inhaling the fog might cause an elevated CEA reading. His room is probably 10 X 11. Our house is not large. Anyhow, he and I are good friends and he works rotating shifts so when he's off or just want to chat, his door is open but if he's vaping, he closes it. He leaves it open while at work. I can't find anything that says vaping is a problem for someone who happens to just be in the room or near the fog.
