Today I started walking a bit, the epidural is making my right leg sleepy, but they are diminishing the dose and changing into pills.

I ate normally today and drank a lot, have been almost painfree all day :D

It is very cool to be «on the other side», even if there are more walls to climb, each wall must be celebrated!

So happy to hear that you're doing well Claudia!
Are you able to eat whatever you want and tolerate it?

Thanks! They told me to be careful with raw vegetables and fruit and to chew very well, but I can eat everything.

You have the previous colostomy experience to help guide you through this which I'm sure will help

A little update, I am fine but the nerves around the urine bladder have been damaged during the operation and I am now learning how to self catheterize me so that I can go home. I cannot even feel that the bladder is full.

Hopefully is not a permanent damage, although the doctor managed to say that can be temporary or permanent but «it is the price to pay».

So happy that you're able to go home! Best of luck with a hopefully temporary catherization need.

Keep up the good spirits, I know it's not always easy but it helps me feel better when I stay positive!
