Does anyone here know what a “non-circumferential” Timor means?

My husband’s report mentions he has a 6 cm mass about 10-11 cm from the anal verge.

Is non-circumferential good, bad or neither?

I am not a doctor, but I think it is a good think that is not growing all around the rectum wall. Circumferential tumors tend to be more advanced, does the report say if it is posterior, anterior or lateral? Staging is anyway the most important predictor of prognosis.

Finally I got to talk to the surgeon and my last CAT scan showed no changes, still one solitary metastasis in one lung, 11 mm in diameter (was 10 mm last time). :)

Just finished with the CAT scan, but I will get the answer in almost three weeks (12th of September). Well in Italy we say «no news, good news». Luckly I am not anxious yet.

Hope they are good results! I know how hard it can be too wait.

I've had a fair amount of progression and waiting for insurance authorization for SIRT on liver mets... 5 weeks of no chemo and envisioning the tumors having a wild party but I feel fine so I'm trying not to think about it. It's weird but I have less anxiety now because there is a plan in place.

Take care!

Primary tumor invaded tail of pancreas and spleen. Liver mets major concern
Y-90 radioembolization on 9/17/18, liver enzyymes have dropped. 10 Radiation treatments to primary tumor completed too. CT scan Nov to assess overall situation...

A little update: the CAT scan was clear and CEA is 1.6. I had a rectoscopy today and that was was also ok. Next scan in January 2019. Overall I feel fine, I am running, training strenght and working full time. Still avoiding meat, diary products and sugar as much as I can. Life after reversal is much better than I expected, only mild clustering sometimes and I can eat everything.

I am here drinking coloscopy prep, I will have it tomorrow, and I am very happy since I never got one (the tumor was blocking the scope).

My older dog is not able to stand up anymore. He is over 13 and has a chronic illness typical for the breed (intestinal lymphagiectsia). So nobody was expecting him to live so long. But still, it is incredibly sad.

I should schedule one. My last was about 16 months ago and the Onc didn't say anything about it. Sounds like you're doing fine.

The coloscopy went fine, everything is normal and it was done in 20 minutes, without sedation or any other form of pain control. It was really much easier than I expected.

Good to hear. I didn't know that it was so quick. I was under for the two that I've had. So you're good for a year there?
