My one neighbor has been taking care of me since my husband left. She drives me to chemo and makes me enough food to last a few days so I don't have to cook. She even cleans the litter boxes and does my dishes. Well today, I found I have even more great neighbors. I pulled out of my garage only to have my car tell me to check my tire pressure. Sure enough, my right rear tire was completely flat. I started to change it myself. I got the donut out of the trunk, got my floor jack from the garage and started loosening the lug nuts. I got three of the four loose, but could not for the life of me get that fourth one to budge. I was literally in tears in my driveway (thank you menopause). I had about lost all hope when my neighbor pulled up and asked what was wrong. I told her about my tire and she tried to loosen the lug nut with no luck. The next thing I know she is on the phone to a neighbor 3 doors down asking if he was home. He came over and easily got the lug nut loose, jacked the car up, removed the tire, took the screw out that had punctured it, plugged it, carried it home to put air in it and replaced it on my car. I have never met this man before in my life. I thanked him profusely and he told me if I ever needed anything he was just a few doors down. That really made my day!
