Back pain

Postby Ksiemonsma » Wed Oct 18, 2017 4:17 pm

10 days ago I hurt my back in a simple way as I have many times in my life and was expecting the muscle pain to be with me for a couple days as usual but it just doesn’t seem to want to go away. My doctor has tried Cyclobenzaprine and DiazePAM with no luck. Could my chemotherapy have any affect on my problems (three rounds of Folfox so far). TIA
Colon cancer 7/17 age 49
Colectomy 8/17
Stage 3C T4B N2B MO
16/27 lymph nodes
First round of FOLFOX on 9/13/17
3/7/18. 12th round and hopefully last of FOLFOX (9 with oxi)
Clear scans 6/7/18
Clear scans 10/3/18

Chemo lowers your red and white blood counts so there may be some affect there with the bone and with healing in general. I don't know whether or not you're getting radiation as well but I've read that radiation can cause joint issues.
