I had been thinking of Stella this last week; considered her a CT friend as many of you. Her unique blend of sugar + salt w/just a tad of tabasco & a mystery spice made her a balanced blend for a wonderful recipe that seemed to draw people in. She was so open to the possibilities w/science in one hand, alternatives in the other w/her spirituality in relation to the "universe" to inspire/center her inner self.
Anyone reading her posts, knew that Stella was easy to laugh yet deliberate, persistent, keen, intelligent...and finally, just plain tuckered out. After all the travels seeking various tx, she just wanted to go home.

We communicated through email early Jan @ which time she said a trip to MSKCC was scheduled for the end of month if she could make it. She was expecting her daughter & son in law the week after we corresponded. After that she had a family member coming from Moscow for 3 months. She was very much looking forward to the visitors & had several home projects in the works. Her pain was increasing, taking Oxycodone, spending a fair amount of time in bed, researching, meditating etc., you name it. I don't think her mind ever stopped. So I felt to let her enjoy her family & then I got busy w/necessary projects before my 9 yr old grandson came to stay w/me for a few weeks in June. Lots to catch up after he left as I do NOTHING else while he is here, but focus on him. Time gets away from us it seems.

I have missed, will miss Stella's presence popping in & out on the forum.

Our "Vilca", her energy now one w/the universe, has the answers the rest of us seek.

My heartfelt condolences to Stella's DH, daughter & DH, family & friends for their loss.

In 2015 when I had all my surgeries lying ahead, Stella told me to wake up every morning and imagine my future. She wanted me to imagine myself with beautiful long hair again in pretty dress going to a party or throwing one. It brings smile to my face when I clearly see her telling me so :) She had been through another genocide of Armenians in 80s in post-soviet USSR. She lost her family. She was and is a great, indomitable spirit.
I miss you, Stella!

It is most interesting, yet not in the least bit surprising, that this forum "collects or attracts ? "
such an incredible quality and quantity of unique individuals.

On an open internet forum, how many times have we used the term friend / best friend ..... to describe someone we may have only met here ?

Like many other members, I too had email exchanges with Stella, and also found her to be a remarkable human being.

I resonate with the vision of her energies being now ... one with the Universe
She would have liked that, and already knew she was one with the Universe

Namasté Stella

Spitfire indeed, and a great force throughout. Open minded, fierce, and independent. May she be pain free and happy in her next adventure. Love all around...

She was relentless in her fight, I do not know her but read many of her threads. Very courageous. Rest well, Vilca.

This is very sad to hear. I didn't know her well, but her butterfly avatar jumped into my mind. I will miss seeing it. May her soul be free, and rest well.

My parents and I would have some of the most amazing conversations with her when we would see her at MSKCC. I always left in awe of her strength and courage. And her personality was amazing. Always positive. Even when she knew that most likely she was terminal. This world is a bit less exciting without her but wherever she is now I am sure there’s a party.
