Hi Everyone. I am awaiting a colonoscopy but in the meanwhile I am in everyday lower pelvic pain, nausea and some diarrhea upon eating. Can you all share your symptoms of colon cancer upon being diagnosed? Thank you!

Mine was found during my first colonoscopy. It was that age thing. Hit 50 and get checked. I was just a tad behind getting it done at 53.

No symptoms to warn me that it was there.

Recurrence but in a different place, not in the colon, was a whole different ballgame.

Rectal bleeding, difficulty going to the bathroom. The former was sudden, the latter gradual.

I noticed blood on my stool for a few months. It wasn't all the time, thought it was hemorrhoids. Did a home test dr gave me to check stool. I did it when I didn't see blood, still came back positive for blood. So had colonoscopy and rectal tumor was found. There are many other causes for the symptoms you have mentioned. Try not to get ahead of yourself. Good Luck.

My mother said she had nothing until one day she started bleeding rectally and went for a colonoscopy just a few days later.

I had horrible left sided pain that would have me doubled over, horrible bloating, thin stools. diarrhea, maroon colored blood in my stools, constipation and then just passing blood.

Anemia and pain in my side. There was blood in my stool but it wasn't visible to me, it was detected there by doctors

My husband had none. He had a stomach ache on a Wednesday. Worked the rest of the week, finally the following Sunday night he let me take him to the ER.
Stage IV, innumerable and inoperable mets to liver. He was 46 at diagnosis.

Sooo frustrating to have no symptoms and to be too young to even think of a colonoscopy. He is healthy as can be, aside from this. Oh and he got into a motorcycle wreck (a deer literally jumped into him from the side of the road...ridiculous! lol) a month out from the anniversary of his diagnosis. We've been married 25 years and after the bike wreck it was like, damn babe, if you want to get away from me, just say so..sheesh! hahahaha!!

So sorry to hear. Same thing basically happened to me except 20 years earlier in life.

My husband had blood in his stool but he blew it off as "just a hemmaroid (sp?)." His symptoms reached a crisis when he was having shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, edema and weight gain from it, and rapid heart beat while at rest (125) and hypertensive crisis (BP of 240/140). He nearly stroked out. What was happening was the tumor had invaded through the colon and into the surrounding lymph nodes and fatty tissue. This was causing internal bleeding, leading to anemia, which was leading to edema and congestive heart failure.
