Update on me

Postby Aqx99 » Thu Sep 07, 2017 10:20 pm

I had my third infusion of oxaliplatin on Wednesday. My oncologist reduced the dose by 20% to help with side effects. She also reduced my capecitabine dose by 500mg/day. I felt a lot better after the infusion, and hopefully that will continue for the rest of the cycle.

The PA informed me as she was examining me that they were going to run a tumor marker test on the blood they drew to check on the ovarian cancer. I got a voicemail today telling me that the marker was normal, which hopefully means that my surgeon got all of the cells during my LAR.

On the separation front, I have not felt this good in years. Every day I feel happier and free. People are noticing a positive change in me. This is absolutely a good thing.
