This is about where I am with Xeloda and radiation. I don't have the pee issues but the rest sounds like me. For me, the tumor popped out two months ago and I had to pop it back in but it is stuck now. That it can move around in your mother may be a good sign as it means that it hasn't invaded the muscle yet. My surgeon mentioned that it might be a tumor over a polyp which would be the best case but it was not to be for me.
Mike, with all due respect to you, I feel compelled to let you know that that is not how anatomy works. Tumors do NOT pop out. If tumors aren't attached to a vascular supply they die, butt they still wouldn't "pop out" If you had something pop out, that you could then repace, it almost certainly would have been a hemorrhoid.
Best wishes to you.

She thought that it might be a tumor on top of a large polyp. Unfortunately, it invaded the muscle about two weeks later and then became fixed in place. This was before any treatment started.

That is feasible ! to your good fortune, if the tumor just adhered, there is little chance of further invasion !

I know. I was likely 3A before it invaded. The surgeon was surprised - she look at the MRI and saw it. That's why I was so eager to get treatment started. Cancer can work very fast. If I had been diagnosed a month earlier or treatment started three weeks earlier, the potential for a reversal could have been a lot better. I will tell anyone that if you have cancer, get it looked at and taken care of as waiting can be either deadly or result in greater loss of functionality after cure.
Tumors are disintegrated by the radiation, anything popping out, is probably a hemorrhoid. The feeling of razor blades, Yes I hated that, is when your tumor is tearing away and I might add, that is a very good sign ! You sir are getting your money's worth !

There's always someone that's better off than we are and it could be genetics, environment or just bad luck. We could be hit by a car, a hurricane or any other of the horrible things that happen to people every day. Your story is certainly a cautionary tale to the rest of us and it's certainly on my mind and I have no full assurance that it won't happen to me or others here. I do hope that you stick around and that science does come up with something to get rid of this kind of cancer in the near future.
