Strange question - possibly TMI

Postby AussieAssCancer » Wed Aug 23, 2017 4:59 am

So tonight I was having a shower and washing the date. I had noticed when wiping that the skin seemed a little 'loose' on the right side of the opening.

Anyways, as I was lathering away, I felt a pea shaped (a tad smaller in size though) in that very area. I pinched it between my thumb and finger to see whether it would move etc.

It didn't hurt, moved only slightly and then as I pinched it a bit harder to try and see if it would pull away, it popped

There was no pain when I touched it, nor was there any pain when it popped. I inserted a finger to check for blood, thinking it may have been a haemorrhoid but there was none.

What could it have been? A cyst perhaps? I'm petrified that it was a tumour and that I've popped it and now it will seed. I have my scans and bloods tomorrow and then see my oncologist on Friday. Should I mention it to him or am I making a mountain out of a molehill??

Sorry for the graphic detail

So I think I have worked it out. Being paranoid as I am about all things medical, I decided to go and have a 'look'.

Using a mirror I saw what looked like a 'bruise' where the lump used to be. It looks exactly like what a blood blister looks like so I suspect it was some sort of blood blister/internal haemorrhoid from straining during a clustering episode and perhaps some rough wiping.

Based on that does it sound like something I should be concerned about? I am certainly less worried about it than I was and will keep an eye on it but am wondering whether I even bother my oncologist (or GP) with it.

Thanks for listening to my anxious musings

OK. So I am taking your concern seriously Butt the comment about the corn made me laugh. We all need to laugh.
I would also strongly advise you to discuss with your physician. The Buttom line is that you don't know what it was. I am still smiling wondering a) how did you find it ? and b) how did you examine it? You must be very flexible Aussie !

Remember the days when you would squeeze the zits on your face and not freak out? Sounds like you nuked a sebaceous cyst but if you're at
the oncologist on Friday, may as well get him to look up your date.

The good thing about the graphic detail, GK, is that the aliens won't need flashlights...

Please tell me you didn't use your wife's handmirror........

Seriously, hope it's nothing to worry about and your concerns are put to rest.
