I wish you well. My yearly ct scan showed a small 4mm lung nodule in April. When I spoke to oncologist and pulmonologist, they did not feel it was a met. Oncologist felt is was related to the auto immune disorder I'm being monitored for. I have much inflammation and scarring in my lungs, was found during ct scan after chemo. Was referred to pulmonologist and she didn't believe it was from the chemo, but an auto immune disorder that I prob already had and was found by chance, so being monitored checking for progression. They're not even sure which one it is because of lack of specific symptoms, and a lot of the symptoms overlap. Watching for Lupus, Sjogrens, Rheumatoid Arthritis, or Scleroderma. Did repeat scan in July and no change in size of nodule, but the pulmonologist doesn't believe it's a met either. Could be caused by auto immune disorder, past infection, or a new lung cancer. Too small to biopsy and pet scan won't pick it up so just have to watch. The mention of a new lung cancer was upsetting to me. I hope you fell better and the news is good.
