O/T...Post Your Pics Here

Postby bitchslapped » Sat Aug 19, 2017 2:01 am

So many have enjoyed, commented, will miss BrownBagger & his garden pics (that he watered by hand w/buckets. I asked since I couldn't see a water spicket nearby in his pics.) His garden, wood pile, large equipment, his bicycle was all an inspiration to many here. It occurred to me that inspiration can live on for those that are willing to share pics of what inspires you.

Do you have a favorite planter, favorite tree, flower, tractor, rose bush, scooter, favorite pooch, kitty, motorcycle, RV, repurposing something, vacation pic, just finish a project?
I'm not going to concern myself through comparison to others. Not what this is about. It's about what brings you a moment of joy or peace.

There's a bit of a trick to it, but I was able to use Imgur to upload (didn't have to create an account & saved to "private"), resize (2048 pixel for total pics per post on CT), so had to resize all of mine. Not bad once you get the hang of it.
So in memory of & dedicated to Brownbagger I'll get started.

GARDEN ART - Mobile garden this year on the RV pad, BS style! Wheels on everything except one pepper plant in case we have that tailgate party @ BS's! Or...in case I have to vacate in a hurry, those are going w/me!  No worries, still room + plenty of patio in the back w/firepit & a Barbie for burgers & dogs.

Look forward to seeing some of YOUR choices!

That's a very fitting tribute. I think it would have pleased him .
Still going to need a little help with my photos. But that's what teenage sons are for!!

I love my garden but feel a little garden envy at the space you have. You have a lovely garden . I bought my house as it has a little burn running through it and despite the temp I get a lot of colour in it.

I still haven't figured out how to post pictures on here but I haven't many impressive veggies. I remember Brown Badger showing us the most impressive Brussels sprouts I've ever seen. He had a way with the spouts! He gave me instructions and I am grateful.
What an inspiration he was!

Here's how to add pictures

Go to http://www.imgur.com

At the top left there's a Green button that says New Post, click on it

A drop down menu will appear click on Upload Images
Easiest was is to have the picture in your laptop of phones Pictures, just browse and choose the picture you want

The picture will appear But it's not ready yet

On the right hand side of the picture we need to click a few more tabs

if your on Mobile phone click Original to have access to resizing

Now also click Post Privately

Now inside the picture on the top right hand corner you will see the URL and an arrow click on the Arrow a drop down menu appears
Click Edit Picture, resize so that the picture is not bigger than the 2045 pixel
E.g. 2000 x 2045
Or 2045 x 2000

Now last step on that same drop down menu on the top right hand corner of the picture click on Download image the picture will appear on a new page, copy the URL and take it to CC
Inside CC post click on Img above the Emoji's

This will appear in your post

Paste the URL from Imgur in the middle like

Write your message or add more pictures and your done
It sounds long buts it's easy, honestly

New Puppy!

In a nod to Frank Zappa, we have named him Maxime's St Alfonzo's Pancake Breakfast. AKA Fonzie.

He was born May 19, and enjoys chewing, eating and being held.

Crape Myrtle shrubs. Had a day of light rain last week which splayed the branches downward as they are heavy w/bloom. Kind of scraggly/messy looking. Any crape myrtle people out there, I'm open for suggestions. Had to add the trellises for support.

Logged on & pics were fine, then all of a sudden they went small! Don't know what happened, but the art is in the closeups (to me anyway), so had to do all over again. Was trying to get by, all on one post.
Sharon, your girls are adorable as peanut said & a huge inspiration.
Thanks for posting instructions. Uploaded from desktop, so maybe a little different. Dropdown menu on top right has "get share links", click on BBC code/forums. I didn't need to use the "image box brackets" on CT posting bar as it would double up on brackets. For resizing I just divided the # of allowed pixels for CT (2048 or 2045) by the # of pics posted. However, I did something wrong apparently. I went ahead & set up an account so I could fix stuff, which can't be done w/o one.

Stu, if you're referring to my front flowerbed, it goes all the way down the side of property in front varying in shape. Came home from work one day, DH had the day off & was setting the brick. Somehow it looked a lot bigger than when I left for work  That flowerbed & me...is a war zone going on 20+ yrs now.

Looks like Pappa Peanut & Puppy Fonzie are getting along fine! :) He's a cutie pie for sure, ruff ruff. Potty training always fun (for Fonzie, that is).

KElizabeth, I don't have many veggies/fruits either, plant what's easy to grow. Who cares about impressive. Honestly, the uglier the pot, the better I like it! What's impressive is persevering through the hard times, remembering the "Who & Why" we're here. I could post a pic of one of my nicer looking weeds, or better yet, my neighbor's yard that a few in the hood reported to the city! :P

I'm hoping Lee posts a pic of her eggplant that was BrownBagger inspired.

This is a photo from the photo album of my overseas Bucket-List Trip N° 3 of December 2013.
The photo was taken in a village on the edge of the canyon where we had been trekking.
