No, but they usually give a special colon tattoo for each polyp removed. This is so that the next colonoscopy will show where the previous polyps were located.

Hi all,

I apologize for the late reply. My Mac Air Laptop had water damage due to the "Prep" liquid that got into the keyboard so I am typing on a new lap top as my old lap tap got destroyed! :( I was so sad as I lost most of my data but trying to have a friend help me recover all of my photos and papers.
Note to anyone or self: Do not handle any type of computer while swallowing prep.... gross.. it ruined my new lap top! :-(

Good news from the GI Dr. The Polyp removed was a benign Adenoma. I do not have cancer. I will have to do a repeat colonoscopy at age 44. Thank you for your support through all of this and prayers to all of you going through this battle. I am so glad to have this Colon club to share information and have support. Now, I have to support my mama all that I can and have get rid of this F*CKING CANCER!!!!!!! :!: :!: :!:   :D

Glad to hear of your benign outcome. That's a huge bonus and relief no? Well worth the scope and PREP :)

As for data on your laptop - should be easily recoverable. Just pop out the HD and plug it into desktop SATA ports.
Then retrieve data.

Yes huge relief! Well worth the scope and Prep that is for sure!! :D This data company wanted $450 to recover my data. I ended up getting a new laptop but hoping that my friend who is a computer engineer could hook a sister up for a small charge to install a new drive and save my data. He said he could help me.

Thank you so much!! :)

Great result on the colonoscopy.

Next, get a backup drive for Time Machine or a cloud backup service so that you can recover your data should your computer get lost, destroyed or stolen.

I think your friend should probably be able to help you. I think it might be possible for him/her to buy a USB-to-HardDrive adapter for about $10 and convert the internal hard drive from your old computer to a USB external drive on your new computer.

It requires an adapter kit that you can probably buy on Amazon, provided your old hard drive is the right size and right type. I did that for the disk on my old Windows XP computer when its keyboard finally gave out after I spilled a cup of coffee on it.

I am a lucky girl. My friend is going to work on my lap top on Labor Day and save everything. In the mean time, he will update my new laptop with Microsoft everything! So if he fixes it, we will have two laptops. Win win, for my hubby!! He doesn't have a lap top but needs one. Have a great day! :D

By default all new MS Windows Operating Systems are configured with OneDrive.
It's not a perfect solution with quite a few issues, however you can easily configure automatic cloud backup for all your files if you store them in OneDrive folder.

In case your computer is dead, on your new computer you just need to connect to your OneDrive cloud and download all your files back.

Note: Do not store all your movies in OneDrive because you can run out of space that is provided for free by MS.

Just reading this topic now ... and my condolences for you having to go MS : Windoze ...
I always tell folks " Once you go Mac .. you'll never go back ! "

The Apple product line has a built in membrane under the keypads ( on desktops and laptops .. not sure about Airs ? ) to prevent the liquid assaults of which you speak. Liquids may have fried other connectors on the unit BUTT the keyboard itself was likely not the issue.

NOW you know why Time Machine and Airport are built into the MacOS = No matter what you DO ... we can have your ass covered
Well Apple didn't say that ... I did

Glad you are up and running again, and ... yes some of us tech geeks ARE out there for you
don't be too harsh on hubby ... unless he actually LIKES the Windoze / MS system ... then all bets are OFF !

My ex was a computer geek and helped me with Techy stuff. I really appreciate it now. I am getting an external hard drive, and ordered a keyboard cover along with laptop cover. I can't live without my MAC! I learned a lot from my University friend, he installed a bunch of tech stuff on my computer, Also an external hard drive is on it's way! Yes, I agree I cloud is a waste of money. Wow, computer science. I hear the Mac Air is very hard to fix, but my friend is able to fix it thank goodness!!! I told him he was a genius, he had a korean mentor, he learned from him and now wants to be FBI for child abuse online. : :D

Congrats on your good scope results!

Time machine backups are great, but it's important to also have an offsite backup as well (a few other comments mentioned cloud backups) in case of fire/theft/etc. This is the company I use. It doesn't cost that much and it backs up my whole machine without having to worry about space limitations.

Thunderbolt is a high-speed Intel Bus Protocol that's used by Apple and only a few other companies like Sony. It provides PCI-E speeds. It's been obsoleted mostly by USB-C though Thunderbolt 3, uses a compatible port.
