No, but they usually give a special colon tattoo for each polyp removed. This is so that the next colonoscopy will show where the previous polyps were located.

ocstacy wrote:Hi all,
I apologize for the late reply. My Mac Air Laptop had water damage due to the "Prep" liquid that got into the keyboard so I am typing on a new lap top as my old lap tap got destroyed! I was so sad as I lost most of my data but trying to have a friend help me recover all of my photos and papers.
Note to anyone or self: Do not handle any type of computer while swallowing prep.... gross.. it ruined my new lap top!
Good news from the GI Dr. The Polyp removed was a benign Adenoma. I do not have cancer. I will have to do a repeat colonoscopy at age 44. Thank you for your support through all of this and prayers to all of you going through this battle. I am so glad to have this Colon club to share information and have support. Now, I have to support my mama all that I can and have get rid of this F*CKING CANCER!!!!!!!
Glad to hear of your benign outcome. That's a huge bonus and relief no? Well worth the scope and PREP
As for data on your laptop - should be easily recoverable. Just pop out the HD and plug it into desktop SATA ports.
Then retrieve data.

I think your friend should probably be able to help you. I think it might be possible for him/her to buy a USB-to-HardDrive adapter for about $10 and convert the internal hard drive from your old computer to a USB external drive on your new computer.

It's not a perfect solution with quite a few issues, however you can easily configure automatic cloud backup for all your files if you store them in OneDrive folder.

Seriously, I am a geek.
Backup more than needed ( oxymoron )
do NOT use online "cloud" backup bullshit
I take my physical redundant backup drive offline / unplugged / and removed from premises when I am outta town.
I encrypt disc images to store on flash drives if I need to travel
I ACTUALLY DO change my passwords on "most" of my 50 + online accounts regularly
and use 128 / 256 key encryption / VPNs and secure proxies whenever I can access them
I studied computer science under a guy who actually invented a programming language
I have too many old technologies around to admit to
BUTT in the event of the Zombie computer geek .. APOCOLYPSE
I always tell folks " Once you go Mac .. you'll never go back ! "
BUTT in the event of the Zombie computer geek .. APOCOLYPSE
I AM DA' MAN
'cos I also have "other" talents
and I will get us ALL online again ...
unless you spill OsmoPrep on your Windoze laptop
THEN you are on your own !!
Cheers
