FamiIy and friends on a bad week

Postby Volfan » Sun Aug 13, 2017 7:03 am

Had treatment number 9 last Monday. And fatigue just totally kicked my butt off and on all week. Ended up just working about 15-16 hours last week. On the plus side I haven't had many stomach issues this time. It's kind of like let's spin a wheel and see what we want to screw with this week. Go figure.
When you have one of those bad weeks and family and friends ask how you are feeling how do you let them know it's just a bad week without them worrying to much or sound like I'm whining?

You are never whining and you'd be surprised to know that I doubt anyone would consider that to be the case. I usually just answer their texts or emails with the words,"feeling terrible but will bounce back in a few days". Seems to work for me. You will get through this! I am recovering from #9 and hopefully the end of chemo is in sight!! Keep hope!

I have bad days but not really a bad week so far. I do let family know how I'm doing via email when I think that it's notable enough to do so. They can sense my mood too. I pointed one sister to my blog thread on this forum if she wants to keep up with how I'm doing.

I agree with brenda...that statement lets them know you're not feeling good but it also eases their mind that you're sure you'll feel better soon.
