Final Pathology report terminology

I have always struggled with a lot of the higher functions of the english language. Could I impose one some of you
for a better understanding of terminology?

Just 1 quick question
1. There is an area of the report titled "SYNOPTIC" <--what does that mean ?

In general synoptic is like a summary i.e. Synopsis.
