Could you describe the logistics for those of us that will likely be doing this in the future?

Do you go to an infusion center to get the pump and then bring it home or to a hotel and then bring it back or are you in the treatment center for the whole time (seems unlikely to me but I really don't know)? I assume that you have the pump on right now, correct?

The way the pump works for me is at the end of chemo on Monday they give me a big syringe of 5fu then they hook the infusion pump up to my IV line hooked to my port. I go home with it. Then two days later on Wednesday morning I go back in and they remove the pump.
I usually try to work half a day on Tuesday with the pump. I'm able to stand and run my CNC lathe without to much hassle.

What's the chemo before Monday? I assumed that the 5FU was the chemo.

If you can manage a CNC, I suppose that I can manage a keyboard. Pretty impressive stuff.

Avastin and oxi I get on every other Monday at the end of that they hook pump up. Doc says I will have the option of pills instead of the pump once maintenance chemo starts.

Oxi (oxaliplatin) is the big bad ass chemo drug. It takes a couple of hours sitting in the chair for it to go into your system.

We, that are on FOLFOX, are getting two chemo drugs.
At 54 2014 1st colonoscopy colon cancer detect
Colon resect margins clear. No chemo Stage II
2017
Distend abd, pain in intestines.
CT scan seeding & Ascites
Lap diag - cancer on the omentum
CEA 217; 219
FOLFOX started 6/17
CEA 202
8/29/17 CT melting of tumor.
Latest CT scan shows 2 new tumors and return of ascites.
CEA: (2017)9/30 -109; 10/12 -99.1; 11/4 -90.7; 11/30 -70.7; 12/14 -83.4; (2018)1/4 -73.3; 2/1-84.2; 89.2; 89.8; 88.5; 81.8: 93.5; 107; 119

First round went okay. I have some cold sensitivity and fatigue and nausea but nothing too bad. For those on the same type of protocol how many treatments do you usually get in a cycle?

I'm sure this is different for everyone.
But what doc told me is 12 treatments of Folfox and avastin then a number of different scenarios can take place.
One of the scenarios is he try's to get the cancer to a chronic state where I'm on and off chemo for life. Depending on how my cea and scans look. He was expecting my cea to be normal range either this last test or the next one but it had a slight uptick from 7.6 to 7.9.
He has given me the option of pills instead of the pump once I hit maintenance chemo.

Meant to mention in the post I just made.
Let your doc know about the nausea. I had nausea on my first treatment and I told the doc about it and he changed up my premeds. Haven't had a problem with nausea since. Matter of fact I haven't refilled any of the nausea meds he gave me.

Thanks for the info Volfan, being able to communicate with someone in a similar boat has really helped me this past month.
