Hi everyone; I just found this website - I hope you will accept me to your group.
On 18 April a tumour was found in my bowel, I was rushed through scans and told by the surgeon that I had a neuroendocrine tumour in my appendix with suspected spread to my pancreas. On 31 May I had a right hemicolectomy to remove the tumour.
I had to wait 10 days for my diagnosis, which came back to be endometriosis of the appendix - it had caused the appendix to collapse on itself and attach to the inside of my colon wall. I am very fortunate to not have received the cancer diagnosis, but I have still had major bowel surgery and feel so alone in adapting to my new situation; do you think you could accept me here? I may not have first hand experience of colon cancer but I will do my best to be a listening ear and hope that someone might do the same for me?
Thanks for reading.

As Groucho Marx said: "I don't want to belong to any club that will accept people like me as a member." But here we are anyway. :D Welcome. We've found on here that one person can shine a light for the rest. Andre

I assume that you had "right hemicolectomy" surgery similar to quite a few people on this forum.

In this case your experience should also be similar.
You can search this forum for "right hemicolectomy" for tips on diet and recovery.
